Haiti Funders Conferences increase the amount and the impact of philanthropy to Haiti by:

• supporting philanthropic actors currently investing in Haiti to come together to strategize and collaborate on increasing impact and promoting systemic change, and

• helping new funders understand Haiti’s development context, make connections and build relations needed to identify successful strategies and impactful partners.

The 6th Haiti Funders Conference will be held in late Spring 2025.

Haitian Community Convenings

HDI provides major support to the strengthening of the nonprofit sector in Haiti and sustainable community development by convening civil society groups and promoting civic engagement.

We have provided intensive support to civic engagement in the municipality of Arcahaie (pop. ~ 150,000) by organizing almost a dozen community convenings in the last two years. These are investments in community empowerment and leadership necessary for long-term, holistic community development.
